About Us

Meals on Wheels Fort Erie was founded in 1971 by a group of 6 ladies from various churches in Fort Erie and served 7 clients to start out.  Today, over 200 volunteers serve over 16,000 meals each year.

Hot and/or frozen, nutritionally balanced meals are delivered to eligible individuals over the noon hour.  This service also serves to provide a security check and some social contact for homebound people.  We help to ease the worry of family members who may not be able to visit every day.

Meals on Wheels is operated out of an office at the St Paul's Parish Centre and managed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  It is a non-profit charitable organization. Gilmore Lodge is pleased to partner with Fort Erie Meals on Wheels by supplying meals for delivery to Fort Erie, Ridgeway, Crystal Beach, Stevensville and Black Creek.
